Assignment Rates – Dipping Into Light

Below are average assignment rates. The final rate is arrived after clients:

1. Describe and define the total number of photos needed
2. Select the appropriate Licensing Option

3. Provide the conditions of the shoot

All fees based on:

– One-time use, excluding advertising use
– Non-color managed camera files

Full Day: up to 7 hours

Half Day: up to 3 hours (half days do not apply to out-of-town assignments,

weekends, holidays, or advertising category)

Travel Time: up to 7 hours, billed at half of agreed day rate

A. Non-profit and Editorial:
Day Rate: use of up to 5 photographs: $1,000
• Each additional photograph or hour: $350

Half Day: use of up to 3 photographs: $650
• Each additional photograph or hour: $350
• Hourly: $400

A. Corporate:
Day Rate: use of up to 4 photographs: $1,500
• Each additional photograph or hour: $400
Corporate portraiture, first portrait: $1,500
• Each additional portrait: $600
Half Day: use of up to 2 photographs: $800
• Each additional photograph or hour: $450
• Hourly: $450

C. Advertising:
Day Rate: use of 1 photograph: $2,000
• Each additional photo to be negotiated for separately
