po_Lipinski-Tara1Tara Kristen Lipinski (born June 10, 1982) is a retired American figure skater.

At the age of 15, she won the ladies’ singles Olympic gold medal in figure skating at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, becoming the youngest Olympic gold medalist in ladies’ figure skating in an individual event. She is also the 1997 World Champion (at the age of 14 years, 9 months and 10 days, the youngest person – by 32 days – ever to win a World Figure Skating Championship), two-time Champions Series Final Champion (1997–1998) and 1997 U.S. Champion.
