Olga Alexandrovna Spessivtseva or Spesivtseva or Spessivtzeva (July 18, 1895 – September 16, 1991) whose stage career spanned from 1913-39.
She was one of the outstanding classical ballerinas of the 20th century. In 1998, Russian choreographer Boris Eifman made her the heroine of his ballet, Red Giselle. Today, she is remembered as one of the greatest classical dancers of all time.
