Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 30, 2026
Dipping Into Light (https://dippingintolight.com), the personal photography and poetry website of Abraham Menashe (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “the Site”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Contact form. When you use our Contact page, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide, solely to respond to your inquiry.
Orders. If you place an order for prints, books, or other work through our Orders page, we collect the information necessary to process it — such as your name, email address, shipping address, and order details.
Automatically collected data. Like most websites, our server automatically logs standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and basic site-operation purposes.
Cookies. The Site may use basic cookies required for core functionality (e.g., remembering your search or navigation preferences). We do not use cookies for advertising.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected only to:
- Respond to messages sent through the Contact form
- Process and fulfill orders placed through the Site
- Send confirmation, order-status, or reply emails
- Maintain and secure the Site
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
3. Email Delivery and Google API Services
To reliably deliver emails sent from this Site (such as contact form replies and order confirmations), we use Google’s Gmail API/SMTP service, authorized via Google OAuth, to send outgoing mail through our own Gmail/Google Workspace account.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use this access to read, store, or share the contents of our Gmail inbox — it is used solely to send outgoing mail generated by this Site.
4. Third-Party Services
The Site is hosted on WordPress and may rely on third-party service providers (such as our hosting provider and Google, for email delivery) strictly to operate the Site. These providers process data only as needed to provide their service to us and are not authorized to use it for their own purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain contact and order information only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry or fulfill your order, or as required for our business records.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you share with us, including using OAuth (rather than stored passwords) to authorize our email sending, and encrypted (TLS/SSL) connections for outgoing mail.
7. Your Rights
You may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have submitted to us.
8. Children’s Privacy
This Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” above reflects the most recent revision.
10. Contact Us
Questions about this Privacy Policy or your information can be sent through our Contact page.
